Access is the Key to the Prevention of Complications

This activity is in collaboration with the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society, and is recommended by the Community Practice Committee and the Society for Vascular Nursing. 

This activity was presented at VAM2019 as part of the B9: Complications in Office-Based Vascular Procedures: Their Prevention and Management session.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the recommended equipment and protocols for office endovascular centers to ensure patient safety.
  • Discuss selection criteria for patients most appropriate to have procedures performed in an office setting.
  • Present potential complications associated with arterial and venous interventions, their prevention and treatment.
